Title: Limits Governor Emergency Declaration Powers

  • Specifies that a disaster emergency declaration can only take effect for 21 days, unless extended by a concurrent resolution of the General Assembly (Sec. 1-2C).

  • Prohibits the Governor from declaring a new disaster emergency after 21 days have passed, without concurrent resolution of the General Assembly expressly approving the new declaration (Sec. 1-2D).
