Vote to pass a bill that establishes additional psychiatry positions at the University of Utah in addition to other provisions.

Highlights:

• Specifies that beginning with the 2021-22 academic year, the University of Utah shall be required to hire 2 additional first year psychiatry residents than were selected in the previous 2019-2020 academic year (Sec. 1).

• Authorizes the University of Utah to award grants to produce a certification in child and adolescent behavioral health primary care for the following, including (Sec. 1):

• Primary care physicians and medical professionals;

• School counselors;

• Social workers; and

• Other professionals who work with children and adolescents.
