Title: Establishes an Alternative Highway Commission

Vote to pass a bill that establishes an Alternative Highway Commission that could abolish a County High Commission.
Highlights:

Defines "Home-based business" as any business for the manufacture, provision, or sale of goods or services that are owned and operated by the owner or tenant of the residential dwelling (Sec. A-1.2).

Prohibits any municipality from requiring a person, as a condition of operating a home-based business, to (Sec. A-5):

Rezone the property for commercial use;

Obtain a home-based business license; or
-
Install or equip fire sprinklers in a single-family detached residential dwelling or any residential dwelling with no more than two dwelling units.

Authorizes all counties of this state which have adopted the Alternative County Highway Commission to abolish it (Sec. A-6-2.1).

Requires any county which does not adopt the Alternative County Highway Commission or any county in which a majority of the voters of the county voting upon the question rejects the Alternative County Highway Commission is abolished and must adopt either of the county highway commissions (Sec. A-6-2.2).
