Vote to pass a bill that requires public schools recite the pledge of allegiance daily.

Highlights:

• Requires the board of directors of each school district to administer the pledge of allegiance in grades 1-12 each day and display the American flag during the pledge (Sec. 1).

• Authorizes accredited private schools to refrain from administering the pledge of allegiance if they find it conflicts with their school’s religious doctrines (Sec. 1).

• Specifies that students will not be compelled to recite the pledge against their objections or their parents’ objections (Sec. 1).
