Vote to pass a bill that authorizes lawful permanent residents to apply to become peace officers or dispatchers.
Expands eligibility requirements for training programs or certification examinations to include (Sec. 1):
U.S. citizens; and
Lawful residents of the U.S. who:
Have lived in the U.S. for at least 5 years; or
Have authorization to legally work in the U.S.
Expands the eligibility requirements similarly for dispatcher certification examinations (Sec. 1).
