Vote to pass a bill that rescinds election day voter registration.
Requires election administrators in the state of Montana to close regular voter registration 30 days before any election (Sec. 1).
Allows registered voters to change their voting information up until noon before an election day (Sec. 2).
Allows any registered elector to challenge the right to vote off another elector if the challenged elector (Sec. 3):
Is of unsound mind, as determined by a court;
has voted before in that election;
has been convicted of a felony and is serving a sentence in a penal institution;
is not registered as required by law;
is not 18 years of age or older;
has not been, for at least 30 days, a resident of the county in which the elector is offering to vote;
is a provisionally registered elector whose status has not been changed to a legally registered voter; or
does not meet another requirement provided in the constitution or by law.
Requires ballots to be mailed no sooner than the 20th day before an election and no later than 15 days before any election (Sec. 4).
Requires ballots to be mailed back no later than Noon on the day before the election (Sec. 4).
