Title: Requires Photo ID For Absentee Ballots Applications

Vote to pass a substitute bill that requires photo identification for absentee ballot applications.

Highlights:

 

  • Requires the following on new absentee applications excluding no military or overseas voters (Sec. 1): 

    • Submission of driver’s license, state ID, or photocopy of voter ID on new absentee applications

    • Elector’s date of birth and either the driver’s license number or a personal identification card number;

    • Photocopy on of the forms of identification

  • Exempts signature comparisons between the absentee ballot and voter registration forms (Sec. 1).
