Title: Amends Arizona Revised Statues in Regards to Disclosure of Law Enforcement Body Camera Footage
Vote to Pass a Bill that Amends Arizona Revised Statues in Regards to Disclosure of Law Enforcement Body Camera Footage
Requires law enforcement personnel, before releasing body camera footage to the public, to redact any portion of the footage containing images of a person who is not the subject of a law enforcement investigation or action, provided that any of the following apply (Sec. 1):
The person is located either in:
A private location that was not open to the public; or
A public location but the person expected privacy; or
The person is a victim or witness to the crime; or
The person was undressed in such a manner that their groin, buttocks, or breasts were exposed.
Specifies that these disclosure requirements do not apply if the person in question signed a waiver allowing law enforcement to release footage they are in (Sec. 1).
