Vote to pass a bill that appropriates funds for education to prevent teachers from being laid off.

Highlights:

• Appropriates the amount necessary to fund the total amount for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2022, of state aid calculated under the public school funding formula estimated to be $1.19 billion to the public education fund and from the following sources (Sec. 1):

• $31.16 million from the public school trust fund; and

• The amount necessary, estimated to be $1.16 billion from the general fund.

• Transfers the amount necessary to fund the transportation of students for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2022, estimated to be $71.43 million from the general fund to the public education fund (Sec. 1.b).
