Title: Requires Listing the Gender Identity of a Deceased Individual on their Death Certificate
Vote to amend and pass a bill that requires listing the gender identity of a deceased individual on their death certificate.
Requires the certificate of death to contain the following items necessary to establish the fact of death(Sec. 1):
Full name;
Sex;
Color or race;
Marital status;
Name of spouse
Date of birth and death and age at death;
Birthplace;
Usual residence;
Occupation and industry or business;
Whether the decedent was ever in the Armed Forces of the United States;
Place of death;
Full name and birthplace of both the father and mother; and
Certification and signature of attending physician and surgeon.
Requires the certificate of death to contain the following items relating to medical and health data (Sec. 1B):
Disease or conditions leading directly to death;
Operations and major findings thereof;
Accident and injury information; and
Information on whether the decedent was pregnant at the time of death or within a year before the death.
