Vote to concur with Senate amendments and pass a bill that amends rules related to election administration.

Highlights:

• Authorizes a state central committee of a political party with at least 25% of the registered voters in the state registered as being affiliated with the political party to have one watcher at every precinct on election day (Sec. 1C).

• Authorizes the central committee to designate one political party super watcher in a parish with fewer than 50,000 registered voters (Sec. 1).

• Requires each political party super watcher to have the qualifications, powers, and duties of watchers and shall be admitted as a watcher in every precinct in the designated parish where a candidate affiliated with their political party is on the ballot (Sec. 1).

• Requires the Chairman of the state central committee of the political party to sign and be responsible for filing the list of political party super watchers (Sec. 1).

• Authorizes a list of political party super watchers to be used for the general election only if the chairman of the state central committee of the party notifies the clerk of court in writing by 4:30 p.m. on the 10th business day before the general election (Sec. 1).

• Authorizes a qualified voter of the state who is not a candidate in the election to serve as an early voting watcher (Sec. 1).

• Requires the registrar of voters to regulate the number of watchers inside the early voting locations (Sec. 1).

• Requires the Chairman of the state central committee of the political party to sign and be responsible for filing the list of early voting watchers (Sec. 1).

• Requires a list of early voting watchers to contain only one early voting watcher and one alternate watcher for each early voting location where the state central committee of the political party is entitled to have an early voting watcher (Sec. 1).
