Vote to pass a bill that requires yearly maintenance on voter lists to remove inactive voters.

Highlights:

• Requires the secretary of state to annually compare entire voter lists of registered voters against the national change of address and list of nonvoters files and provide appropriate confirmation notice to those individuals whose addresses have changed or did not vote in the previous election (Sec. 1).

• Requires that the aforementioned confirmation notice to a voter who moved or failed to vote in a previous election be followed up within 30 days with a return notice stating that failure to respond within another 30 days will result in their name being moved to the inactive voter list (Sec. 1).
