  • Establishes that on or before January 17, 2022, the Executive Office of the Governor is to submit a status report to the President of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives. The status report must contain, at a minimum (Sec 1):

    • Timelines for the completion of the proposal and for the completion of the state plan, including the establishment of an agency to oversee the state plan, legislation necessary to implement the state plan, and the scope of coverage concerning employees covered under, and excluded from, the state plan; and

    • An explanation of whether additional employees, consultants, or contractors need to be hired to assist with the development of the proposal and the state plan and whether additional funds need to be appropriated for that purpose.

  • Authorizes the nonrecurring sum of $1 million to be appropriated for the 2021-2022 fiscal year to the Executive Office of the Governor from the General Revenue Fund to implement this act (Sec. 2).

  • This act shall take effect upon becoming a law (Sec. 3).
