Title: Establishes New Legal Definitions for Gender, Disability, etc.
A vote to pass a bill that establishes new legal definitions for gender, disability, etc.
Expands the definition of “disability” to include any condition or characteristic that renders an individual as a person with a disability (Sec. 1).
Defines “person with disability” to include any individual who satisfies the following (Sec. 1):
Has a physical or mental impairment which substantially limits one or more life activities;
Has a record of such impairment; and
Is regarded as having such an impairment.
Repeals previous law specifying that gender identity is demonstrated by consistent and uniform assertion of the identity or evidence that is sincerely held as part of an individual’s core identity unless asserted for any improper purpose (Sec. 1).
Amends the definition of “sexual orientation” to repeal the provision stating that it exclusevely means heterosexuality, homosexuality, or bisexuality (Sec. 1).
