Vote to pass a bill that establishes grants and requires other activities to improve mental and behavioral health among health care providers and farmers.

Highlights:

• Exempts Medicare from sequestration until March 31, 2022 and temporarily extends other medicare provisions, including payment increases under the physician fee schedule (Sec. 2).

• Requires any debits recorded for Fiscal Year 2022 on the statutory pay-as-you-go (PAYGO) scorecards be deducted from the scorecards for 2022 and added to the scorecards for 2023 (Sec. 2).

• Defines “sequestration” as a process of automatic, usually across-the-board spending reductions under which the budgetary resources are permanently cancelled to enforce specific policy goals (Sec. 2).

• Reduces the time period required to expedite senate procedures for the following, including (Sec. 8):

• increasing the debt limit;

• The procedures limit debate;

• Waive points of order; and

• Prohibit amendments.

• Specifies that the aforementioned procedures may only be used once and shall expire after January 16, 2022 (Sec. 8).
