Title: Combating International Islamophobia Act

  • Requires the office provide annual reports to Congress about human rights and religious freedom in foreign countries and specifies that the report shall include information about (Sec. 2):

    • Acts of physical violence or harassment of Muslim people;

    • Instances of propaganda in government and nongovernment media that attempt to justify or promote hatred or incite violence against Muslim people; and

    • Actions taken by a country’s government to respond to such acts.

  • Prohibits any funds made available by this act from being used to (Sec.2):

    • promote or endorse a boycott, divestment and sanctions (BDS) movement ideology against Israel or Israel-related individuals or organizations; or

    • Promote or endorse a Muslim ban.
