Vote to concur with house amendments and pass a bill that expands county governments employee's right to unionize and engage in collective bargaining.
Establishes Collective Bargaining by County Employees Act (Page 2)
Limits “bargaining unit” to exclude: confidential, managerial, executive, temporary employees (Page 2)
Limits “county” to exclude city-counties (i.e. Denver, Broomfield), counties with >7,500 people (Page 4)
Authorizes eligible county employees to self-organize, communicate online and in-person (Page 7-8)
Requires that eligible counties provide access to exclusive representatives (Page 8-10)
Requires certification of such representatives by Director of Division of Labor Standards and Statistics (Page 14)
