  • Requires school principals immediately report the following acts student misdemeanors and felonies to law enforcement and guardians, including, but not limited to the following offenses (Sec. 1):

    • Having alcohol, marijuana, a controlled substance, an imitation controlled substance, or an anabolic steroid on a school bus or on school property;

    • Any written threats against school personell while on a school bus, school property, or at a school-sponsored activity; or

    • Any false bomb threats involving a school bus or school property.

  • Specifies that nothing in this act shall require delinquency be filed or prevent schools or prevent schools from dealing with school-based offenses through graduated sanctions or educational programs before a delinquency charge is filed with a juvenile court (Sec. 1).
