Title: Requires Schools to Provide Statistics Relating to On-Campus Crime
Vote to pass a bill that requires schools to provide statistics relating to on-campus crime.
Specifies criminal incident reports, including “the total number of incidents per 100 pupils reported by the school or school district” (Sec. 1).
Defines “participating private high school” as “a private school participating in a parental choice program” (Sec. 3).
Requires high schools to “collect and maintain” statistics of incidents of crimes including homicide, sexual assault, arson, substance use, and firearm possession (Sec. 3).
Specifies that such crimes shall only be reported if committed on school property or school transportation, and if reported to law enforcement (Sec. 3).
Requires annual reports from high schools (Sec. 3).
Prohibits inclusion of pupil’s identity in such reports (Sec. 3).
Authorizes development of uniform reporting system (Sec. 3).
