Vote to pass a bill that requires judges inquires about defendant's firearm possession when protection orders are issued.
Establishes the court shall inquire about any existence and location of any firearms, riffles, or shotguns owned or possessed by the defendant (Sec. 1).
Establishes the prosecutor must make reasonable efforts to present the aforementioned information to the courts (Sec. 1).
Establishes the court shall inquire, with reason to believe the respondent, the petitioner, or any protected party has any knowledge as to the existence and location of any firearm, rifle, or shotgun owned or possessed by the respondent (Sec. 1 ).
