Vote to concur with house amendments and pass a bill that authorizes electric vehicle owners to purchase electricity to charge vehicles by the amount of power used instead of the amount of time spent charging.
Authorizes electric vehicle owners to purchase electricity to charge their electric vehicles by the amount of power used instead of the amount of time spent charging (Part II, Sec. 2-2).
Requires all electric vehicle charging stations to accurately display the amount of electricity delivered (Part II, Sec. 2-2).
Defines “electric vehicle” as a vehicle that is propelled by one or more electric motors fueled by energy stored in the form of a rechargeable battery (Sec. 2-2).
Specifies that this bill shall take effect July 1, 2023 (Part V, Sec. 5-1).
