Title: Voter Identification Requirement

Vote to pass a bill requiring voters to present an acceptable form of photo identification, or two acceptable forms of identification without a photo, in order to vote.

Highlights:

-Provides an exception to the identification requirement for voters that are 80 years of age or older, as indicated by their date of birth on the voter registration certificate (sec. 7). -Adds photo ID from an employer, a state university or college, or a government agency, as well as a concealed handgun permit with the person’s photograph, as an acceptable form of identification (sec. 11). -Allows those without acceptable identification to cast provisional ballots, which will be withheld until their identity can be verified (sec. 7). -Requires information regarding the new voting requirements and acceptable forms of identification to be clearly posted outside of polling places (sec. 6).
