Vote to pass a bill that provides appropriations for the Department of Transportation for the 2007-2009 biennium.

Highlights:

- $5.6 billion is state and federal funding to the Department of Transportation. - Taxes motor vehicle fuel suppliers 2.5 percent on the gross receipts of their first sale in the state each quarter. Excludes biofuel sales and ethanol blends that are at least 85 percent ethanol (sec. 12). - Authorizes $2.8 million in debts for the Marquette interchange and the I-90 corridor (sec. 7). - Allows up to $2.7 billion in bonds for highway projects and transportation administration facilities (sec. 18) - Incorporates requirements of the REAL ID Act (sec. 24). - Increases transportation aid to municipalities in 2008 to $303.6 million and $312.7 million in 2009. Increased county aid in 2008 to 96.5 million and $99.4 million in 2009 (sec. 26-27). - Charges the Rail Transit Authority with the construction and operation of the KRM Commuter Link transit system to connect Kenosha, Racine, and Milwauke (sec. 10). - Increases the supplemental vehicle title fee from $7.50 to $9.50 (sec. 51).
