Title: Mandatory Sick Leave

A vote to pass a bill requiring employers to provide paid sick leave to employees annually.

Highlights:

-Requires employers with over 50 employees to provide one hour of sick leave accrued for every forty hours worked from beginning of employment, up to 52 hours a year (Sec. 2). -Sick leave can be used for mental or physical illness and treatment associated with illness, treatment of a child with mental or physical illness, or for physical, psychological, or legal help resulting from family violence, sexual assault or stalking (Sec. 3). -Employer may not take retaliatory action because the employee requests or uses paid sick leave (Sec. 4).
