Vote to pass a bill that provides for the primary enforcement of the safety belt law and places restrictions on drivers under the age of 18 that include driving at night and using a wireless telephone while driving.

Highlights:

-Restricts driving for those with a junior operator's license between the hours of 1am and 5am [Sec. 3(c)]. -Prevents the usage of wireless telephones and handheld electronic devices while operating a motor vehicle for person under 18 [Sec. 4(d)]. -Repeals secondary enforcement of safety belt law in favor of primary enforcement of the law [Sec. 6(a)].
