Reason for Seeking Public Office:
My name is Frank Drake. I was born and raised in Minneapolis. My family history in Minneapolis goes back to when the Civil War ended. My great, great, great, grandfather, Benjamin F. Nelson, became a Minneapolis pioneer, building the BF Nelson Roofing and Mining Company on the northeast side of Minneapolis adjacent to BF Nelson Park in Minneapolis. Generations of families worked for the roofing company, now a part of Owens-Corning.
For me, I want to be a pioneer in the revitalization of North Minneapolis, the E. Lake Street business district, restoring common sense, meaning not spending other people's money unless it's an emergency - and civic pride, honoring our US Constitution in congressional government.
I look at North Minneapolis. I see despair, mostly non-profits and severe cronyism, where 80+% of any money never reaches the intended or the needed. Our congressman and our government disavows any incentive for private success for our citizens to flourish and prosper.
North Minneapolis can be great again, have respect for the Individual, respect for society, and respect for the Police. If you don't appreciate those who help you in a time of need, you will never be exceptional.
The incumbent has done nothing except establish his "Celebrity Brand." No new private investment (without government assistance) in over ten years in North Minneapolis.
The activist congressman sides with thugs and worse.
Peace means (for the congressman) a "piece" of your pie. He doesn't even know why he wants more of your pie, but he wants it.
If you are an individual or a thinker, you're a nuisance to the congressman.
Consider this: if you are on federal/state assistance, you earn the equivalent of $14.50/hour to do nothing. Why work for $12/hour when doing nothing pays you more?
In a time of crisis, your benefits are the first to go away.
There are many pensioners who have taken a 50% haircut on their pensions, yet they vote DFL, all day, and wonder who screwed them over.
North Minneapolis, now do you understand why you are so Important?
Let's rethink your voting equation. Time to move on from "What's his name." "We Deserve Better" in the Minnesota 5th CD.
Vote Frank Drake!!
