Yes | In order to balance the budget, do you support an income tax increase on any tax bracket?
Yes | Do you support expanding federal funding to support entitlement programs such as Social Security and Medicare?
I support increasing taxes on the top 1% of earners, as well as raising the cap on the Social Security payroll tax. I also support the repeal of the $1.5 trillion 2017 tax cuts implemented during the Trump Administration, which primarily benefited corporations and the wealthiest Americans. The evidence of the past 40 years on tax cuts have conclusively proved that cutting taxes on corporations and the wealthiest Americans does not either boost the economy or "trickle down" to average Americans. |

I believe that the federal government has a critical role to play in developing national standards for education. Properly developed and implemented, I believe that federal standards can serve as a baseline and offer flexibility for states to develop their own standards that go above and beyond the federal guidelines. |

No | Should the United States use military force to prevent governments hostile to the U.S. from possessing a weapon of mass destruction (for example: nuclear, biological, chemical)?
Yes | Do you support reducing military intervention in Middle East conflicts?
I believe it's the responsibility of our nation to prevent any further proliferation of the weapons of mass destruction. However, I don't believe we should use preemptive military force and firmly believe that this should be accomplished by diplomatic, political, and economic pressure. But we must be clear that if any nation uses such weapons, there will be a military response from the U.S. I believe the role of the U.S. in Middle-East conflicts should be bear our diplomatic, political, and economic power to achieve peace. However, the U.S. must stand by its military obligations and diplomatic commitments to our allies such as Israel. |
