- California should lead the country in its efforts to prevent climate change and to cope with the effects of changes that are already underway. - Wildfires are an enormous threat not only to lives and property but to the health of our residents and to our ability to fight climate change. We must fund and implement efforts to prevent and fight wildfires, and to aid victims.
The access to broadband, and to technology generally, has been very limited in rural areas and some urban neighborhoods as well. The pandemic made clear the vital role that good internet access plays in commerce, education, and healthcare. That is why I have sponsored legislation to expand broadband, and also to support the use of telehealth to meet our healthcare needs.
