  • "Roe v. Wade is a legal precedent and a constitutional right, and we must fight back against any attempt to insert the government into a woman’s health care decisions. I am proud to have voted for the Women’s Health Protection Act, which would enshrine women’s reproductive freedom into federal law, and I urge state legislatures across our nation to pass laws that protect a woman’s right to choose and the right to bodily autonomy." • "Social Security is more than a government program—it is a promise between each generation of workers. I am and will always be an unwavering champion of protecting and strengthening the Social Security benefits that our workers have earned through a lifetime of hard work. Each fiscal year that I have served in Congress, I have successfully led a push to increase funding for the Social Security Administration (SSA) to ensure that SSA offices have the resources to serve the greatest number of beneficiaries. I won't stop fighting until we have an adequately funded, adequately staffed SSA able to serve every American in need." (wild.house.gov)

  • "RT if you think tax cuts for billionaires and corporations shouldn't be paid for by cutting programs that help families put food on the table." (x.com)
  • "Redefining poverty so fewer people in need have access to housing, food, & health care is in no way a solution to poverty in America. Paying for the GOP tax cut for the wealthy on the backs of struggling children and families is totally unacceptable." (x.com)
  • Rated 5% by The Club for Growth (None)
  • "End dark money’s influence on politics and make voting easier. I was proud to support H.R.1, the For the People Act, a historic mandate that addresses many of our top priorities, including my bills to establish 15 days of early voting nationwide and and my bill to strengthen lobbying ethics laws which would increase government accountability and transparency. H.R. 1 would also require Super PACS to disclose their donors, establish a national voter-registration program, make Election Day a federal holiday, and end gerrymandering." (wildforcongress.com)
  • "10 years ago, the @SCOTUS #CitizensUnited decision opened the floodgates to unlimited spending in our elections, giving undue influence to a handful of wealthy individuals and corporations." (x.com)

The more than $1.5 trillion currently owed by young Americans is hamstringing an entire generation — depressing entrepreneurship, preventing investments like home ownership, and hurting our economy. (wild.house.gov)
  • "Since the start of my career in Congress, I have made it one of my top priorities to fight for high-quality, affordable health care for all. As a nation, we pay the most by far of any country in the world for both medical care and prescription drugs, and yet millions of our people remain uninsured, under-insured, burdened by high insurance premiums, and unable to afford the medicine they need. This situation is unacceptable, and I'm fighting to change it." (wild.house.gov)

  • Voted in favor of HR 6833 "The Affordable Insulin Now Act" (None)
  • "Americans pay several times more for the same prescription drugs in other countries. And we pay the most by far of any country in the world for prescription drugs. I am appalled by the skyrocketing cost of prescription drugs in our country, and I am committed to stopping the price-gouging of patients. Right now, Americans across our community and our country are rationing the lifesaving medication on which they depend, endangering their lives by going without their medication altogether, or facing financial ruin to get their prescriptions filled." (wild.house.gov)
  • "Make life saving prescription drugs affordable. I’m proud to be a leading voice in Congress on lowering the cost of prescription drugs, and I’ve kept my pledge to never take a cent from Big Pharma. I fought for and won critical changes to the US-Mexico-Canada Agreement to ensure that patients were protected from higher prices. During the COVID-19 crisis, I led an initiative to cap the price of prescription drugs designed to treat medical conditions stemming from the virus, and this year, I voted to limit the price of insulin to $35 per month. One of my proudest days in office was voting yes on the Lower Drug Costs Now Act which would finally give Medicare the ability to negotiate drug prices, and make those lower prices available to all Americans, not just those on Medicare." (wildforcongress.com)
  • "No family should have to choose between paying rent or paying for their children’s life-saving medications. So, I intro'd a bipartisan bill to make sure states can purchase prescription drugs at the lowest price possible. Our families save $, our state saves $. Check it out👇" (twitter.com)
  • Voted against HR 2 "Secure the Border Act of 2023" (None)
  • "Border security is vital to the safety of our nation. But a wall is not the most effective way to secure our borders. What is? Paying the people who secure our borders and giving them the resources they need to do their jobs BY REOPENING THE GOVERNMENT. #EndtheShutdown" (x.com)
  • Rated 14% by NumbersUSA (None)

Pro-choice Do you generally support pro-choice or pro-life legislation?
I am an EMILY's List-endorsed candidate and am wholeheartedly pro-choice (running against two anti-choice Democrats in my primary).
Yes In order to balance the budget, do you support an income tax increase on any tax bracket?
Yes In order to balance the budget, do you support reducing defense spending?
I support raising tax rates on the highest earners.
Yes Do you support the regulation of indirect campaign contributions from corporations and unions?
I would like to see us move toward publicly funded elections that completely remove "dark" and corporate money from our political process.
Yes Do you support federal spending as a means of promoting economic growth?
No Do you support lowering corporate taxes as a means of promoting economic growth?
Yes Do you support requiring states to adopt federal education standards?
Yes Do you support government funding for the development of renewable energy (e.g. solar, wind, thermal)?
Yes Do you support the federal regulation of greenhouse gas emissions?
Yes Do you generally support gun-control legislation?
I would support reinstating the 1994 assault weapons ban, banning "bump stocks," raising the eligible age for gun purchases, and creating a universal background checks, among other measures.
No Do you support repealing the 2010 Affordable Care Act ("Obamacare")?
The Affordable Care Act can be improved upon, but that in no way includes dismantling or repealing it. It was a great start that I believe should set us on a course toward a Medicare for all-type program.
No Do you support the construction of a wall along the Mexican border?
No Do you support requiring immigrants who are unlawfully present to return to their country of origin before they are eligible for citizenship?
Yes Do you support the legalization of marijuana for recreational purposes?
Yes, and I have signed Sen. Bernie Sanders' petition calling for the legalization of marijuana and an end to the failed "War on Drugs."
No Should the United States use military force in order to prevent governments hostile to the U.S. from possessing a nuclear weapon?
Yes Do you support increased American intervention in Middle Eastern conflicts beyond air support?
Both of these answers deserve follow up: First, I believe diplomacy is the most proven, best approach to preventing hostile governments from possessing a nuclear weapon. Second, I would support increased intervention only in the sense of diplomacy and coalition building putting boots on the ground in that region with no end in sight will be a failure.
My campaign is all about Families, and thats why my top priorities in Congress will be: (1) establishing a Medicare for all system, so no family has to face bankruptcy due to medical bills; (2) protecting Social Security at all costs, so no seniors face financial uncertainty after a lifetime earning their benefits and playing by the rules; and implementing campaign finance reform to get dark money out of politics. When more revenue is needed to make these priorities a reality, I support increasing taxes on the highest income earners and reducing defense spending.
