| I would like to see a gift ban for legislators, ending cash bail, and an increase in the minimum wage. We also need to focus more on affordable, quality child care and affordable continuing education, whether college, technical school, or other job training programs. | |||
| After recovery from COVID-19, my top priority is fixing the inequitable way we fund our public schools. Schools will be in crisis mode for next year's budget if we continue to underfund and inequitably fund them. We need to transition to using the fair funding formula for all education spending, and we need to implement a Fair Share tax plan to generate new revenue so that our schools have what they need to retain quality educators, maintain their infrastructure safely, and ensure proper staffing of counselors, administrators, and social workers. |
