What is the Political Courage Test?

Washington Congressional Election 2020 Political Courage Test

Pro-life Do you generally support pro-choice or pro-life legislation?
No In order to balance the budget, do you support an income tax increase on any tax bracket?
Unknown Position Do you support expanding federal funding to support entitlement programs such as Social Security and Medicare?
I believe we have to find ways to be more efficient and less wasteful. The bureaucracy is the cause of the majority of waste and abuse. Reduce and streamline it first before we consider cutting benefits to those who need it.
No Do you support the regulation of indirect campaign contributions from corporations and unions?
Unknown Position Do you support the protection of government officials, including law enforcement officers, from personal liability in civil lawsuits concerning alleged misconduct?
Unknown Position Do you support increasing defense spending?
First, we need to figure out how to reduce fraud waste, and abuse. There are ways to spend a lot less more wisely and accomplish the same goals. However, of all the spending the federal government does national defense is the most important!
Yes Do you support lowering corporate taxes as a means of promoting economic growth?
Unknown Position Do you support federal spending as a means of promoting economic growth?
Unknown Position Do you support providing financial relief to businesses AND/OR corporations negatively impacted by the state of national emergency for COVID-19?
yes as far as a small business. You know the ones that were shutdown! Walmart, Home Depot, and other big business that did not need it should not be eligible. There should be no overbearing long-lasting government obligations attached to the loans.
No Do you support requiring states to adopt federal education standards?
The states should run their own education systems and the people of the state should dictate how that is done.
No Do you support government funding for the development of renewable energy (e.g. solar, wind, geo-thermal)?
No Do you support the federal regulation of greenhouse gas emissions?
No Do you generally support gun-control legislation?
The second amendment is clear and concise. I child reading it without preconceived notations can tell you what it says and yet we have constitutional revisionists trying to change the interpretation of it!
Yes Do you support repealing the 2010 Affordable Care Act ("Obamacare")?
Unknown Position Do you support requiring businesses to provide paid medical leave during public health crises, such as COVID-19?
Yes Do you support the construction of a wall along the Mexican border?
Yes Do you support requiring immigrants who are unlawfully present to return to their country of origin before they are eligible for citizenship?
Sticky situation in general yes. Although young people brought here that know no other way of life should be given the opportunity to apply to stay. However, we cant incentivize this to continue. This needs to be fixed on the legislative side and then truly enforced. Otherwise, it will continue to be a problem.
Unknown Position Should the United States use military force to prevent governments hostile to the U.S. from possessing a weapon of mass destruction (for example: nuclear, biological, chemical)?
Unknown Position Do you support reducing military intervention in Middle East conflicts?
Smaller more precise action with an end result in mind. With our technology and intel we should be able to risk little and project further.
No Do you generally support removing barriers to international trade (for example: tariffs, quotas, etc.)?
Trade has to be reciprocal and fair. So far in my lifetime, our leaders seem to have sold our country out for an idealistic yet unreal global first (Not America First) style of trade agreements. Trump is the first in my memory that is actually trying to fix this problem. We as Americans should not be expected to finance other countries economies at the cost of our own.
Term Limits 4 terms for congress, 2 for the senate, and 2 for the presidency. This would fix a lot of problems on its first day, No more bought off politicians, laws and regulations are debated on the fact that these people will be going back to the private sector. Maybe they think about how things affect the small business rather than the big donors knowing they will have to rejoin WE THE PEOPLE! Reduce the deficit; An across the board cut of everything including government salaries. Healthcare; Tort reform, competition, choice! Immigration; Fix and enforce!
