Our bail system needs to be reformed and New York State has made significant progress on this issue. We should eliminate cash bail for nonviolent crimes but consider the usage of cash bail for other more serious crimes.

Yes c) Do you support increasing teacher salaries AND/OR benefits in New York?
Yes d) Should immigrants unlawfully present in the United States who graduate from New York high schools be eligible for in-state tuition at public universities?
Current New York education standards are higher than federal ones, therefore we should continue to use New York education standards as opposed to adopting federal ones. Undocumented immigrants should have access to higher education in our state, especially since it can correlate to processing through the legal immigration system. We should make it so that all individuals in our state have access to a better path in life and can work to keep that talent and investment in our state by utilizing our public university system.
Yes a) Do you support state funding for the development of renewable energy (e.g. solar, wind, geo-thermal)?

Sensible gun ownership includes regulations that keep us all safe. Coming from a very rural community I know the important role that guns play when it comes to hunting and personal protection. We all benefit when practical gun regulations are put into effect to keep our communities safe and bolster the responsible-gun-owner community. I support current standards of permitting for firearms, but do not believe that they should be extended to shotguns and rifles.

Yes d) Do you support requiring all public female-designated restrooms to provide free feminine hygiene products?
e) Other or expanded principles:
The North Country has not received its fair share of resources for broadband and cell service. This is a huge missed opportunity to bring jobs and residents to the area and means that we are not investing in the long term economic health of our communities. Like electricity in the 20th century, cell service is now a part of our everyday lives, and requires us to invest in it like the necessity it is. We will offset the cost of this extended service through increased taxes for the wealthiest members of our state as well as partnering with providers.
