  • 100% rating from the NARAL Pro-Choice America (justfacts.votesmart.org)
  • "I am proud to represent Connecticut--a state that is proactively protecting the right to choose and creating a sanctuary for those seeking an abortion. We will continue to lead the way. I hope that everyone reading this draft opinion in fear knows it is just that, a draft opinion. Abortion is still legal. This does not change the law as it stands now. We must act. The Senate must join the House in passing the Women's Health Protection Act. The majority of Americans support this constitutional right, and I will continue standing with them in the fight to protect it." (justfacts.votesmart.org)
  • Voted in favor of HR 3755 "Women's Health Protection Act of 2021." (votesmart.org)
  • "It was introduced by my dear friend Congressman John Larson. I am an original cosponsor. The bill expands benefits, strengthens the Social Security trust fund, and cuts taxes for seniors. The bill and House Democrats' leadership is critical at a time when Americans are struggling with stagnant incomes and a lack of good-paying jobs." (justfacts.votesmart.org)
  • "Our country has long aspired to create a universal healthcare system that gives people quality coverage without the fear of skyrocketing costs and the hassle of unnecessary complexity. Medicare for America puts us squarely on that path," said Congresswoman DeLauro. "With an extensive benefits package, caps on premiums and out-of-pocket costs, no deductibles, incentives to expand our healthcare workforce, and the power to bring down high drug costs, Medicare for America will ensure every American has access to high-quality, affordable coverage they can rely on." (justfacts.votesmart.org)
  • "Government spending, including Medicare and Medicaid, to treat cardiovascular disease, cancer, and diabetes accounted for 54 percent of the $383.6 billion in health care spending. Twenty-one federal agencies have 200 efforts related to diet but have not effectively managed fragmentation of efforts or the potential for overlap and duplication despite establishing interagency groups." (justfacts.votesmart.org)
  • Voted in favor of HR 1 - For the People Act of 2019 (justfacts.votesmart.org)
  • 87% rating by the Common Cause (justfacts.votesmart.org)

"As a nation, we are deeply indebted to our women and men in uniform, and to the families and communities who support them. This bill honors their service, responsibly invests in our national security, and includes important wins for working people in Connecticut and across the country. In particular, the NDAA authorizes billions in funding for helicopters, combat aircraft, submarines, and more--all of which support good-paying jobs for workers in Connecticut's aerospace and defense manufacturing industries." • Voted in favor of S 1605 "National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2022." (votesmart.org)
  • "After decades of disinvestment, we are finally making historic infrastructure investments that will create millions of good-paying jobs and shape our economy in a way that meets the moment," said Congresswoman DeLauro. "The bipartisan infrastructure bill repairs crumbling roads and bridges, invests in public transit and rail, expands broadband, and secures clean drinking water all while creating millions of jobs, in Connecticut and across the country, that cannot be outsourced. I am particularly pleased that this legislation ensures that contracted workers will be protected and paid prevailing wages. With the passage of this bill, including a $1.63 billion increase for Connecticut over the most recent transportation bill and $30 billion to modernize the Northeast Corridor, we are investing in a foundation for strong economic growth in Connecticut." (justfacts.votesmart.org)
  • Voted in favor of HR 3684 "Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act." (votesmart.org)
  • "House Dems passed the COVID Relief bill. Yes, it includes the $1400 checks. It will also cut child poverty in HALF in this country, thanks in large part to @rosadelauro. CT Democrats get the work done. Zero Republicans voted for it. They are against helping you when you need it" (twitter.com)

She has called for a rapid move toward investment in biofuels and new technologies that harness clean energy sources such as wind and solar power. In the short term, Rosa supports addressing escalating energy costs by cracking down on price gouging and manipulation of the energy futures market, and by releasing oil from reserves and drilling on previously designated land." (justfacts.votesmart.org)
  • Signed Letter to Administrator Pruitt: "Allowing the consideration of factors other than health in setting future NAAQS would not only result in inadequate standards that would cause undue harm to the health of millions of Americans, it would also set a dangerous precedent for setting EPA standards. Your memo calls for the expedited review of two pollutants, particulate matter and ozone, which have the potential to aggravate asthma, increase the severity of chronic lung diseases, damage the lungs, cause cardiovascular harm, and even cause death. Emerging research shows links to additional health harms. Those at increased risk include children, seniors, pregnant women, people with chronic lung and heart disease, people who work or exercise outdoors, people of color, and lower-income communities. Weakening these public health and clean air standards to help industry will not eliminate costs, it will merely shift them to communities, workers, and children, and increase the cost of medical care for those affected." (justfacts.votesmart.org)
  • "Today, the House of Representatives fulfilled its duty to check the President's climate-denying actions. The facts are clear, and there should be no debate: climate change is real. It is an urgent problem. And our country must address it. The Paris Agreement set out an ambitious plan to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and the United States should not withdraw from it. Left unchecked, climate change will continue to have disastrous effects on our environment, our public health, our food safety, our economy, and our national security. We cannot allow climate-deniers to set the legislative agenda any longer. The time to act is now." (justfacts.votesmart.org)

No Do you support lowering corporate taxes as a means of promoting economic growth?

States should continue to have the freedom to adopt their own education standards. That is why I supported the bipartisan Every Student Succeeds Act, which prohibits any requirement on states to adopt federal education standards.
Yes Do you support government funding for the development of renewable energy (e.g. solar, wind, thermal)?
Yes Do you support the federal regulation of greenhouse gas emissions?
Yes Do you generally support gun-control legislation?

Families should not be torn apart and for misdemeanor immigration offenses. At the same, Congress must prioritize enacting into law comprehensive immigration reform to address the eleven million undocumented immigrants currently in the country.
No Do you support the legalization of marijuana for recreational purposes?
Unknown Position Should the United States use military force in order to prevent governments hostile to the U.S. from possessing a nuclear weapon?
No Do you support increased American intervention in Middle Eastern conflicts beyond air support?
I have always viewed military force as an option of last resort in dealing with hostile governments. At the same time, I do not support putting more US boots on the ground in the Middle East. We must engage with our allies in the region to find diplomatic solutions where we can, and we must invest in economic and human development projects that stabilize the region.
The biggest economic challenge of our time is that people are in jobs that do not pay them enough to live on. People are struggling to keep up with the rising costs of healthcare, childcare, housing, and food. I am fighting every day to increase people?s wages and create more good-paying jobs with benefits?like healthcare and retirement security. That also includes making sure children and young adults get a good education, and workers have access to pay equity, paid sick days, paid family and medical leave, and predictable schedules.
