Without a doubt putting Americans back to work is my greatest concern. The Obama administration believes we should throw money at the problem and hope it will go away, but that can actually stifle growth and job creation if employers become spooked by the prospect of higher taxes in the future to pay for current stimulus programs. We also must balance the budget - I would like to retain the Bush tax cuts to spur on growth, and keep wasteful spending in check. One example would be to cut foreign aid to countries that vote against us in the U.N. |
