It was always thought that the reason for increases in health care cost and insurance premiums was the coverage to the uninsured. The savings anticipated when health care systems reduced non-paying or slow paying patients has not materialized. We need continued work to implement and improve health care reform ensuring that our health care gets better." (votesmart.org)

We should concentrate on educating and creating high skilled workers that can provide companies with the workforce they need to compete globally. Much effort should be directed toward startup firms. Our national security personnel are the most dynamic and well-trained in the world, and that we must never forget the solemn duty that they fulfill for our nation. Continue to keep nuclear and biological weapons from terrorists, better ensure border security, and augment defense of our national infrastructure.

Jobs We should be adopting and pursuing a national manufacturing strategy. I would suggest promoting the export of U.S. goods. Let?s encourage businesses to bring American jobs and innovation back to the United States. We need to train and secure a 21st century workforce. Tax Reform The tax system should be simplified and work for all Americans with lower individual and corporate tax rates and fewer brackets. Certainly eliminating inefficient and unfair tax breaks so that the American people and businesses spend less time and less money each year filing taxes and no one can avoid their financial responsibility.
