  • "A simple, fair and more competitive tax code that makes it easier for families and businesses to work, save, invest and innovate." (paulsenforcongress.com)
  • "Growing jobs starts with tax reform for individuals, families, and businesses. We need to make the tax code simpler, fairer, and more competitive to create jobs, raise wages, and expand opportunity for all Americans." (paulsen.house.gov)
  • "I support a strong national defense that provides our military, law enforcement, and intelligence agencies with the tools and resources necessary to ensure our safety and security. A strong national defense paired with a clear and concise foreign policy is critical to meeting the security challenges we face both internationally and domestically." (paulsen.house.gov)

  • " For too long, Washington has spent money it doesn’t have without any regard for the future. In just my first 60 days in office, I voted against $1.5 trillion in deficit spending. A multi-trillion dollar national debt is threatening to bankrupt our children and grandchildren’s future. We need to sunset unnecessary government programs, eliminate wasteful Washington spending, and balance the budget so we can lower the national debt. Minnesota families and small businesses are making sacrifices and cutting costs, and Washington must do the same." (paulsen.house.gov)
  • "Stopping out-of-control spending and the skyrocketing debt." (paulsenforcongress.com)
  • "A simple, fair and more competitive tax code that makes it easier for families and businesses to work, save, invest and innovate." (paulsenforcongress.com)
  • "Enacting pro-growth tax reform, lowering health care costs, and eliminating burdensome regulations will empower entrepreneurs and help small businesses grow and expand. It’s also time for Congress to get its fiscal house in order by balancing our budget and eliminating wasteful Washington spending. " (paulsen.house.gov)
  • "It is critical that we restore control of education decisions back to local communities." (paulsen.house.gov)
  • "We need affordable, cleaner renewable energy solutions including solar, wind, nuclear, hydro, and biofuels. States like Minnesota have been leaders in diversifying our energy supply. We also need to boost domestic supplies of natural gas and oil by exploring in the outer continental shelf." (paulsen.house.gov)
  • "We also need to reduce our carbon emissions but we cannot do so at the expense of jobs and raising prices on working families. We need to craft aggressive, yet realistic, goals that will allow us to reduce emissions, strengthen our environment and create jobs." (paulsen.house.gov)
  • Voted in favor of S.J.Res.23 "A Joint Resolution Providing for Congressional Disapproval Under Chapter 8 of Title 5, United States Code, of a Rule Submitted by the Environmental Protection Agency Relating to 'Standards of Performance for Greenhouse Gas Emissions from New, Modified, and Reconstructed Stationary Sources: Electric Utility Generating Units' " (votesmart.org)
  • Rated 92% by National Rifle Association (votesmart.org)
  • Voted in favor of H.Amdt.1098 "Prohibits District of Columbia from Implementing Certain Firearm Laws" (votesmart.org)
  • "Too many families, individuals, and small businesses face dramatically higher health care costs. People have lost the power to choose their own doctor or the health plan that’s best for them. You deserve more choices and patient-centered care, not more mandates from Washington bureaucrats under a one-size-fits-all approach. " (paulsen.house.gov)

  • Voted in favor of H.R.5759 "Preventing Executive Overreach on Immigration Act of 2014" (votesmart.org)

  • "I support a diplomatic solution to find a peaceful end to Iran's nuclear weapons program. However, over the past decades, Iran has repeatedly cheated and lied to the international community in its illicit pursuit of a nuclear bomb. Because of this deception, this deal should have included rigorous inspections and a verification process that gives the international communityh unfettered access to potential nuclear sites. It should have also required na end to enrichment capablilites and for Iran to fully disable their nuclear weapons program. In addition, the agreement shoul dhave ensured that any sanctions relief should be phansed in through a slow and deliberate manner, rather than immediately removed. The deal announced by the administration today fails to achieve even one of these benchmarks and in a shocking turn of events, also inclues the lifting of the U.N. Arms Embargo – something that makes a bad deal even worse. I can't in good faith support an agreement that fails to even meet the minmum standards outlines by the Administration at the beginning of this process. Instead, more weapons will be given to the world's biggest state sponsor of terrorism, putting the stability of the Middle East in jeopardy and threatening to create a new nuclear arms race. In addition, it puts our closest ally in the region, Israel, in grave danger." (twitter.com)
