Pro-choice a) Do you generally support pro-choice or pro-life legislation?

Yes d) Should abortion be legal when the life of the woman is endangered?
No e) Do you support requiring parental notification before an abortion is performed on a minor?
No f) Do you support requiring parental consent before an abortion is performed on a minor?
No g) Do you support the prohibition of public funds for abortion procedures?
No h) Do you support the prohibition of public funds for organizations that perform abortions?
Abortions should be rare and legal. It is not the governments role to determine what a woman can do with her body. This decision should be made by the woman, her doctor and family if possible. There may be extenuating circumstances such as life of the mother that must be taken in consideration. Ideally a minor should be able to go to their parents however the parents may not be supportive. In this case counseling to try to work with parents and educate the young girl would be important.

The rainy day fund if for a time of dire need when additional funds are needed. Especially when people lives and health are at stake. If there is no other way to balance the budget a portion of the fund could be used. The fund should also be replenished as quickly as possible.
NH has one of the highest tuition rates in the country. More money should go to offsetting the cost of college. Full day kindergarten is needed for our children to start on the right foot and someday compete for jobs. We should increase incentives for renewable energy project residential and business. Medicaid expansion should be made permanent. It has assisted over 50,000 Granite Staters with basic healthcare and drug addition treatment. Rail may assist in economic development and keep young people in the state.
Education is funded by our property taxes. This is punitive to retirees who live on a fixed income. I would like to see and small but broad Education tax to offset property taxes.

a) Do you support limits on the following types of contributions for state candidates?

No 1) Individual
No 2) Political Action Committee

Yes c) Do you support requiring full and timely disclosure of campaign finance information?
Yes d) Do you support the use of an independent AND/OR bipartisan commission for redistricting?
No e) Do you support requiring a government-issued photo identification in order to vote at the polls?
Corporate contributions should be limited for donations as people are. Donations should be fully disclosed. Redistricting should be conducted by a bipartisan commission. If there is a way to provide id's for free that is one solution.

I support high educations standard nationally but the curriculum should be developed locally and be approved by the local school boards. I support state funding of charter schools however not at the detriment of public schools. If there is a student that is going to a NH high school and graduates and they are on a path to becoming a citizen they should be able to continue on to college. The rate should be the same as any in state student. If they are coming from out of state it should be the out of state rate.
