Rep. Keith Ellison Statement on Renewal of the Export-Import Bank

Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MN) released the following statement after the House of Representatives renewed the Export-Import Bank:

"The Ex-Im Bank supports thousands of American businesses, including many small businesses in Minnesota, and allows our manufactured goods and services to reach customers worldwide. In fact, of the 218 exporters that are supported by the Ex-Im Bank in Minnesota, 135 are small businesses. The failure to renew the Ex-Im Bank's charter earlier this year shows just how hostile some in the Republican caucus are to government programs, even ones that support business and jobs like the Ex-Im Bank.

"The Export-Import Bank's renewal will enable American businesses large and small to compete successfully around the world, and I applaud every member of Congress who voted for it."
