Today, Congresswoman Ann Wagner (R-MO-02) released the below statement following the House of Representatives' 240-181 vote to pass the Restoring Americans' Healthcare Freedom Reconciliation Act of 2015:
"Since the launch of the online exchanges, ObamaCare has been an unmitigated disaster that has led to skyrocketing premiums for American families, placed unnecessary burdens on our small businesses and ultimately reduced access to care.
"I am proud that Congress' action today not only repeals ObamaCare, but also sends legislation to the President's desk that will defund Planned Parenthood by blocking federal taxpayer funds to them. It prioritizes women's health at community health centers and bolsters funding for the 588 community health centers across the state of Missouri and more than 13,500 across the country.
"We are a nation that seeks to protect the least among us in numerous ways, from medical research, to assistance for the needy, and care for the elderly. It's time that we do the same for our precious unborn babies.
"I urge the President to sign this bill into law and prioritize all Americans, respect life and return healthcare decisions to individuals and their doctors."
