Issue Position

I am an ardent supporter of our constitutional rights including the right to keep and bear arms guaranteed by the Second Amendment. This right is one of the fundamental principles of our Republic. The federal government should take no action to suppress this right or any right. Too many times, law-abiding citizens are punished and their rights threatened due to the actions of criminals. When a violent act is committed we should punish the offender and address the cause of the action rather than restricting innocent people's ability to defend themselves.
