Today, Chairman of Second Amendment initiative, Congressman Marlin Stutzman, released the following statement regarding the passage of H.R. 2406, the Sportsmen's Heritage and Recreational Enhancement Act of 2015:

"Law abiding gun owners' God given right to bear arms is under constant threat of harassment and regulation. This legislation included a number of pro-gun provisions, including the prevention of a ban on lead fishing tackle and ammunition and the opening of additional federal land for hunting and fishing. It would also protect gun owners legally transporting guns through anti-gun localities. I was proud to support this bill and I will continue to push my bill, H.R. 923, which would ensure law abiding gun owners can actually use their guns to protect themselves while crossing state lines."
