Congress can make the needed reforms to Social Security to give our children and grandchildren a brighter retirement future. Under current law, our children will pay Social Security, but when they retire, the Social Security Trustees estimate that our children will not receive their fair share. Leadership is needed now to reform this unsustainable system in order to prevent dramatic tax increases or benefit cuts in the future. American workers should have access to the best information available when planning for retirement; that is why it is necessary to keep social security fund information transparent and honest.
