Issue Position: Defeating Radical Islam

Issue Position

The world faces a relatively new but deadly threat from ISIS and radical Islam. Defeating a caliphate, mindset, and religious subset that is committed to the complete and total destruction of the Western World requires a recognition of who our enemy is, and a real commitment to the total annihilation of that enemy.

Radical Islam cannot be negotiated with or reasoned with. It needs to be destroyed so that no one will aspire to join the movement or seek the caliphate.

Congress will play a critical role in this because Congress must ensure that our nation's military has the tools and support it needs to fight and win this war.

The United States and its allies did not start this war, but we must prosecute it and win it as quickly as possible. Each year we wait is another year our enemies grow stronger and the number of casualties grows.
