U.S. Representative Reid Ribble (WI-08) today voted with a majority of the House of Representatives to pass the H.R. 4904, the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), which specifies the budget and spending of the Department of Defense, in a vote of 277 to 147. The 2017 NDAA includes funding for three Littoral Combat Ships.

"Keeping the nation safe is our first Constitutional duty, and by passing the National Defense Authorization Act, we have clearly laid out our defense priorities and spending for next year. This includes three new Littoral Combat Ships, some of which will be built by hardworking men and women in Marinette," Ribble said. "The 2017 NDAA also invests significant resources into increasing troop readiness, reforms the costly acquisition system, and gives our troops a well-deserved 2.1 percent raise."
