Dr. Bucshon's Statement on FBI's Decision on Sec. Clinton

Statement

Date: July 6, 2016
Location: Washington, DC

On Tuesday, Eighth District Congressman Larry Bucshon, M.D. released the following statement after FBI Director James Comey announced the agency will not recommend criminal charges against Secretary Hillary Clinton:

"Although I respect the integrity of the FBI, I'm disappointed Director Comey announced today that the agency will not recommend criminal charges against Secretary Clinton," said Bucshon. "The American people are fed up that politicians like Secretary Clinton seem to avoid all accountability for their actions. The FBI confirmed that Secretary Clinton mishandled top secret information, which had the potential to put our national security and the safety of our overseas personnel at risk. This decision sets a dangerous precedent for how similar cases are handled in the future."
