Pompeo Demands Review of Hillary Clinton & Her Staff's Access to Classified Information

Statement

Date: July 8, 2016
Location: Washington, DC

Congressman Mike Pompeo (R-Kansas) released the following statement regarding his letter to Secretary of State John Kerry, Attorney General Loretta Lynch, and Director of National Intelligence James Clapper.

"Today I sent a letter to Secretary of State Kerry, Attorney General Lynch, and DNI Director Clapper demanding a review of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and her staff's access to classified information. Following the testimony of FBI Director James Comey, we know with certainty that both Secretary Clinton and her staff handled classified information with "extreme carelessness.' It is my hope that with this review, the American people can begin to get answers to many critical questions as to how classified information will be handled and who will have access to such information. We must move forward cautiously in light of such damning revelations by Director Comey."
