Governor Pence Makes Several University Trustee Appointments

Governor Mike Pence today announced his appointments to the Ball State University Board of Trustees, the Purdue University Board of Trustees, and the University of Southern Indiana Board of Trustees. Jean Ann Harcourt of Rush County has been appointed to serve on the Ball State University Board of Trustees, Malcolm S. DeKryger of Jasper County has been appointed to serve on the Purdue University Board of Trustees, and Ellis S. Redd of Vanderburgh County has been appointed to serve on the University of Southern Indiana Board of Trustees.

Jean Ann Harcourt, of Rush County, has been appointed to the Ball State University Board of Trustees to complete an unexpired four-year term through December 31, 2017. Ms. Harcourt currently serves as President and CEO of Harcourt Industries, Inc. and in the past has served as the first female chair of the Indiana Manufacturers Association. Ms. Harcourt received her undergraduate degree in business administration from Ball State University.

Malcolm S. DeKryger, of Jasper County, has been appointed to the Purdue University Board of Trustees to serve a three-year term through June 30, 2019. He currently serves as President/CEO of Belstra Milling Co. Inc. Mr. DeKryger is also Past President of the Covenant Christian High School Board in DeMotte, IN, a former member of the Indiana State Department of Agriculture Advisory Board, and a member of the Purdue University College of Agriculture Deans Advisory Council. He received his undergraduate degree from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, MI, and his graduate degree from Purdue University College of Agriculture.

Ellis S. Redd, of Vanderburgh County, has been appointed to the University of Southern Indiana Board of Trustees to serve a four-year term through June 30, 2020. He currently serves as Vice President of Human Resources and Administration for Vectren Corporation. Mr. Redd is also the Chairman of the Welborn Baptist Foundation, co-chairman of the UNCF Evansville Leadership Council and as an advisor of the Multi-Cultural Professionals Network (MPN). He received his undergraduate degree from North Carolina A&T State University and his MBA in Manufacturing Management from Washington University in St. Louis.

The Governor also reappointed the following members to the Board of Trustees for Purdue University and the University of Southern Indiana:

Ronald D. Romain [Vanderburgh County], reappointed to serve a four-year term through June 30, 2020

Kenneth L. Sendelweck [Dubois County], reappointed to serve a four-year term through June 30, 2020
