Tom is the only post 9/11 veteran serving in the Michigan House. As your state representative Tom has been a champion for veterans by getting laws passed that will allow vetrans to apply their skilled trade expierence towards licensing requirements, and protecting veterans with invisible wounds like PTSD to be able to have service dogs assist them in public. Michigan still lags behind the rest of the nation in assistance for Veterans and Tom Barrett's priorty is to see that all of Michigan's veterans receive the support they deserve.
