Retired Brigadier General Don Bacon, candidate for the United States Congress, announced today that he has received the endorsement of Congressman Steve King of Iowa in his bid to represent Nebraska in the Second District. Congressman King made the following statement:

"I am very proud to endorse Don Bacon for the United States Congress", said King. "He is a principled full spectrum Constitutionalist who will anchor his decisions back in these values that have made our country great and especially represent and reflect the wisdom and the values of the Midwest. When I sit down and talk with Don Bacon and I look in his eyes, I want him in the United States Congress making decisions for Nebraskans. He is the right choice, he is pro-life, he is a fiscal conservative, and he is one who will keep our country strong, stand for our veterans and also be able to bring his expertise here to the table so that the United States Congress is promoting our strong national defense."

"Congressman King's endorsement is a tremendous honor", said Bacon. "I have great admiration for the Congressman for his strong moral courage and his deep devotion to serving our nation. He is one of America's great Constitutionalists and he is also one of the most impressive national leaders with respect to the pressing issue of national security. As a student of the Middle East, he has an extraordinarily advanced level of understanding of the issues of that region and he is one of the true leaders in Congress focused on this critical part of the world. I look forward to working side by side with Congressman King when I am in Washington."
