Issue Position

I have been personally affected by gun violence. When I was twenty-four years old my father was gunned down on the street by a criminal. My father never had the chance to see me enter adulthood, walk me down the aisle as I married the love of my life, or meet his beautiful grandchildren. I am deeply committed to ending senseless gun violence. I want to work towards expanding background checks, closing dangerous loopholes in our current laws, and keeping assault weapons off our streets.
